Why ReWild?

Because we believe in the power of returning to our natural state through our most primal function: our breath.
At ReWild Breathwork, we guide you back to your innate, unconditioned self, helping you shake off the layers that life's piled on.

Just as rewilding in nature restores ecosystems to their natural balance, we apply this sacred and holistic approach to human well-being. We focus not only on personal transformation but also on how these changes ripple out to affect the world around us.

ReWild stands in contrast to our often tamed, stressful, and disconnected modern lifestyles and to our traditional healing modalities of using a top-down approach.

We're inviting you to reconnect with your authentic, primal essence, to your body and its somatic wisdom. It's about stepping away from the noise to discover and tap into who you really are at your core.

We're not just talk here. ReWild is about taking action, creating change, and inspiring others to do the same. We're here to shake things up and breathe new life into the world - one conscious breath at a time.

Our mission

Is to guide you back home to you. We offer transformative and comprehensive teacher trainings focused on trauma-informed care, safety, somatic practice, and hands-on experience, bridging science and sacred wisdom to optimize healing and nervous system regulation.

Our vision

Is to create a world that we don’t have to heal from. When we are devoted to healing our own trauma, that’s when our life changes, and that’s how we change the world.

AboutJamieJanko.jpg
Hi I’m Jamie Janko, founder and lead teacher trainer of ReWild Breathwork & Somatic Healing. I travel the world and teach this life-changing modality with the mission of creating a world that we don’t have to heal from.

I can honestly say, I’m living the life of my dreams, but it hasn’t always been this way. My first career was in Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, and Los Angeles Dodgers over a span of 12 years. As a rising leader in my field, 60 hour workweeks were common. Being part of major events like the World Series and creating unforgettable off the field experiences were my passion. And with this great passion also came great pressure.

So yes, I am a recovering perfectionist. Combining my career with competitive Crossfit training, my then people pleasing nature, and inability to express, I hit complete burnout.

On the outside, I was a walking example of "you can do it all." On the inside, I had serious doubts. I experienced the kind of anxiety that is so normal, you don’t even know it’s called anxiety. The result was chronic stress, weight gain, an autoimmune condition and a near breakdown.

I had worked myself to the point of adrenal fatigue which finally caused me to slow down and admit to myself that I couldn't do it anymore.

As I healed, I sought freedom.

I began to find myself again, I began to wake up. It was then that I realized this entire life I had created up until this point, was a reflection of unconscious choices and patterns.

This is when the real work began, and everything started to unravel - my marriage, my friendships, and the awareness that I was living a life that was not my own.

That’s what led me to Breathwork and eventually to becoming a certified practitioner, as it transformed me completely. The practice brought me to a depth I've never experienced before. To both the light and the dark. To both pain and joy. To home, aka a regulated system.

This showed me the most important realization of my life: cellular and somatic wisdom are the greatest teachers and tools we have, and when we heal ourselves, we heal those before us and those after us, and this is how we heal the world.

My journey has taken me from a small town in Georgia to New York to LA to Bali, Ireland, South America and beyond, learning from the masters and teaching all over the world. I’ve studied with breath scientists, indigenous cultures and lands, shamanic and tantric teachers and healers, somatic experts and more.

I weave the science and the sacred to honor these lineages and those who’ve walked this path be fore me, it’s my honor to share this wisdom with you.
